Rainbow mountain, also named Vinicunca is one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Latin America, it is a mountainous formation dyed in various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals. Rainbow mountain is the second most popular tourist destination in Cusco after Machu Picchu.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 am to travel south of the city for a 4-hour journey. After 2.5 hours of travel, we will make a stop for breakfast near the village of Cusipata.
We will then continue for another hour to the village of Phulawasipata, which will be the starting point of the hike.

From Phulawasipata, we will start a hike of approximately 3 kilometers to the Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, which is at 5,200 meters above sea level. This hike will take between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and physical condition. The initial sections of the trail are not very steep, but towards the end, the incline becomes pronounced and fatigue increases.

When you reach Rainbow Mountain, you will be able to appreciate the magnificence of the landscapes with the Ausangate Glacier in the background. You will have time to recharge and take all the necessary photos with the iconic Rainbow Mountain backdrop.

Finally, you will start the descent back to the village of Phulawasipata, where the transport will be waiting to return to Cusco. We will make a stop for lunch before continuing our journey back.
